This space is called TheDreamOf.life, though it also lives at TheDreamOf.me. The “me” isn’t just about my perspective - it’s about yours too, and the fluid boundaries between us.
What This Is About
As I’ve navigated my life, I’ve become increasingly aware that most of what I think of as reality is actually a constructed, shared dream. Not in a mystical sense, but in the very practical sense that our institutions, our social roles, our ways of interacting, all of these are collective narratives we maintain together.
Much of my life has been spent creating and maintaining reference points within my own dream that I call my perspective, building some kind of internal dream-logic. For a long time, I was convinced this internal world was separate from objective external reality. But the more I look at it, the more I see that everyone is doing this. We’re all dreamers, and the “real world” is more like the intersection of our dreams and the impacts on others’ dreams.
The Project
This blog is my attempt to:
- Make sense of the dreams I observe around me
- Understand how individual dreams interact with collective ones
- Find peaceful and constructive ways to participate in these shared narratives
- Connect with other dreamers who are navigating similar questions
I’m not claiming to have answers. This is exploration, documentation, and hopefully connection.
What to Expect
I’ll write about whatever dreams catch my attention. That might mean:
- Personal observations about navigating social systems
- Reflections on how institutions function as shared dreams
- Questions about consciousness, identity, and reality
- Attempts to understand the stories that shape our collective experience
The writing will be informal, exploratory, and genuine. I’m figuring this out as I go.
Thanks for being here.
